Streaming Radio
A fully functional streaming radio for Second Life, designed to bring music and atmosphere to your virtual home. The Dutchie Radio comes with 12 pre-programmed stations covering a range of music styles and also lets you add your own favorite internet radio streams.
Simply click the radio to open the menu and choose a station. Access can be set to Owner, Group or All, making it suitable for both private homes and shared spaces.

12 Pre-Programmed Radio Stations
The Radio comes ready to use with 12 streaming stations covering a variety of music styles.
The selection includes streams from Jazz Radio by Maestro, Pinguin Radio, Isekoi Radio and Radio Café Zimmermann.
Choose a station from the menu and the Radio will change the music stream for your Second Life parcel.
Add Your Own Radio Stations
You can customize the Radio by adding, removing or replacing stations in the STATIONS notecard inside the object.
Use the following format:
BUTTON NAME | STREAM URL
This lets you create your own selection of internet radio stations while keeping the Dutchie Radio interface.
Access & Group-Owned Land
Access can be set to Owner, Group or All.
Two versions of the Radio are included: the standard Dutchie Radio for land owned by your avatar, and Dutchie Radio – Group-Owned Land for land owned by a group.
Because the Radio works by changing the parcel music URL, the Group-Owned Land version needs to be deeded to the group that owns the land.
If your land is owned by a group, use Dutchie Radio – Group-Owned Land:
- Make sure the land group is active on your avatar
- Right-click the Radio and choose Edit
- Under the General tab, set the Radio to the group that owns the land
- Check Share
- Click Deed
Once deeded, the Radio can control the music stream on group-owned land. Access will automatically be set to All after deeding. The avatar who deeds the Radio remains its administrator and can change the Security setting.
Owner access is limited to the administrator, Group access allows the administrator and avatars with the Radio’s group active to use it, and All allows everyone to use it.
